Notice One – From Simon Beaton, Clara our Brazilian exchange student will be staying with the Beatons. They are asking to borrow a small student desk for 10-12 weeks.
Notice Two – Bryan’s idea for an event. A fund raising event, $20 a ticket where Two Speakers entertain the audience. Brian had mentioned himself and Buddy as the two speakers. More to follow as this idea gets traction.
Notice Three – Graham, guest of Indeevar, has been visiting our club for a few weeks now. He has submitted his application for membership. Comments are sought for club approval. Contact Indeevar if you have comments.
Notice Four – Next week’s meeting will be at the Tauranga Club (Devonport Hotel). Indeevar will be meeting with the Tauranga Club on Monday to discuss parking. An email will follow with those details.
Notice Five – Dave McDonald made a passionate plea for the Club to sell, sell, sell Christmas Puddings. Puddings will be $25 with $8 going to the Club. Pudding availability date has not been determined.
Notice Six – Dave McDonald mentioned how he loved organizing the Duty Roster. And reminded everyone that next week the Club will be meeting at the Devonport Hotel and the old positions are back on the duty roster.
Notice Seven – From Wayne, Otumoetai Social Supermarket will be hosting a Fundraising Dinner on Thursday 10 October 2024 beginning at 6:45pm at Somerset Cottage (30 Bethlehem Road). Tickets are $160 per person and include a 3 course meal with matching glass of wine. 50% of ticket price to go to the Otumoetai Social Supermarket.
Notice Eight – K Valley tree planting is scheduled for Sunday 29 September. 4000 trees to be planted. Grab a shovel and put your name on the list saying you are coming. Notify Michele if you are planning on attending (michele@learningjourneys.co.nz).
Notice Nine – Membership. Simon reminded us that our Club has a Facebook page that is updated most Fridays. Please share the and like the page. The more shares our page gets, the higher the likelihood that our page will be suggested to people within Tauranga.
