Welcome–from President First meeting as president for Indeever and he enjoyed it going 15 minutes longer than planned
Sustainability Talk: None today. The future and form of this segment was discussed.
Guest Speaker –
An active Club assembly occurred.
We discussed the 4 objectives (Pillars) for the year.
- Boost the membership
- All members bring 1 guest/yr
- Bring an interesting speaker.
- Expanding our reach
- Social media
- Charities from out of town that we can assist
- Repeat the Living Library
- Know what our club has done in our community in the past.
- Corporates to sponsor an employee member.
- Increase our Impact.
- Consider the cost of being a member-coffee club instead
- Bring fantastic speakers
- Personal responsibility
- Increase our reach
- Op shop hop- a bus tour around the op shops.
- Bring a friend
- Award for the most new members introduced
- Increase or adaptability
- Use like buttons
- More signage at events
- Get beck freshness through youths. Perhaps they come once a month
- Contact kids we have helped in the past, Rypen, Interact etc

Sergeant at Arms – Graeme Cornes who focussed on airline travel tips.
- Put a coloured ribbon on your bag
- Take note of the plane exits and toilets before you sit.
- Put books and things in the seat pocket before you sit.
- Go to the toilet while on the ground
- Complain about heavy bags being loaded in the overhead racks. They need to go into the hold or on the floor.
- Order snacks on your screen
- “Waiting for paperwork” is code for a screwup…. Don’t be fooled.
